No Ammonia
Known for its strong smell, ammonia can irritate your scalp, eyes, throat, and lungs. No thanks!
No PPD
PPD (para-phenylenediamine) is a dye used to create dark shades. It’s also a known allergen and is impossibly tricky to spell.
No Resorcinol
Resorcinol is in many permanent hair dyes — but not ours. Why? Because it’s been classified as hazardous in some countries.
No Parabens
A common preservative in beauty products, there’s ongoing debate about Parabens and their impact on hormones.
No Pthalates
Used in haircare as solvents or softeners — many Phthalates are banned in the European Union.
No Gluten
Some hair products use wheat proteins to help strengthen strands — but for those with sensitivities, that’s not ideal.
No SLS
Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) is a foaming that can strip away natural oils and fade colour.
No Titanium Dioxide
There’s ongoing research around the safety of powdered forms of titanium dioxide — with concerns linked to allergies.
No Cruelty
We're cruelty-free at every stage, and so are our suppliers. Our formulations are also vegan.

Natural Ingredients
These are ingredients that originate from natural sources and are minimally processed. They often add a lovely texture or scent, maybe a little moisture, but don't really bring much else to the table. Beeswax and Lavender Oil are both examples of natural ingredients.

Natural actives are natural ingredients that have proven functional benefits. Not satisfied with simply smelling nice, they get to work stimulating growth, boosting hydration, or reducing inflammation.
When used correctly, they're absolute weapons, which is exactly why you'll find them in our products.

A powerful antioxidant that protects against environmental damage (like UV rays and pollution), while supporting a healthy scalp. Bonus points for boosting shine and softness.
Lightweight and deeply nourishing, Macadamia Oil is packed with fatty acids that strengthen and moisturise hair without weighing it down. A real double-threat, it fights frizz and adds softness.
A shore-growing seaweed known for surviving harsh conditions, this marine botanical is packed with antioxidant power. It helps protect hair from oxidative stress and environmental damage, while supporting moisture retention and scalp health.
Jojoba closely mimics the natural oils of your skin and scalp. It's very handy for balancing oil production, reducing flakiness, and conditioning both hair and skin. Soothed scalp and shiny hair? Sign us up!
This multitasker is known to help stimulate the scalp, support healthy circulation, and create a balanced environment for hair growth. It also smells divine making "getting your roots Done" a treat for the senses.
